I'm rewatching Gensomaden Saiyuki and the animation is really cringe-worthy & hilarious. LOL!!!

Thinking back, I fell in love with the series despite the poorly drawn characters. I guess this is testimony of how good the story is.

Alrighty.... back to my Genso-marathon. I still have 39 episodes to go. ;)

Genso-marathon FTW!

Even though the animation was crappy, I loved the style of the earlier episodes. The use of frame-cuts, color and effects was pretty cool. I think artistically my favorite episodes were the ones in the Rikudo arc.

I've been able to re-watch everything since two of my friends saw a few Relaod episodes while my "anime friend" and I were watching it, so I am watching Gunlock and D. Gray-Man on Wednesdays with one friend and Gensou and Doctor Who on Tuesdays with the other two! As an added bonus, one of my "Gensou" friends is also a fanfic writer (mostly Dr Who), so she has become my beta for my fics.

Yup, despite the bad animation, it's loads better then Reload & Reload Gunlock.

And I think that Genso has the hottest 'Sanzo with his robes hanging around his waist" moments. In Reload & Reload Gunlock, he just looks fat. LOL!!!

It's so fun to watch anime with someone who shares the same passion, yes? ^_^

lmfao isn't it?
aw, the first episode I watched was on TV, episode 22, in Spanish it was even more fanservicey O-O in fact, the first phrase I heard was, from Goku "I won't lose you Sanzo" o3o

but ugh, the art, failed so much. then I watched RELOAD and gunlock and reload is my favorite of the three, idk gensou has them like...deformed. But reload and Gunlock has them super buffed and manly LOLOL
....xD *just hugs her mangas*

I first met Saiyuki when my boyfriend was working at Hollywood video. He just snatched the first volume (because that's all they had) and brought it home to watch. I was like "wtf is this...they look so weird!" Cut to many many month later when the same boyfriend (now affectionately called husband) found the double barrel set for a great deal at Hastings. "Oh, I wanted to see what happened in this..." says he, then we curled up and put it in...and made it through four dvds in one evening despite ourselves. Art...pretty bad...story...pretty cool! I have watched and enjoyed much worse animation XD And that's the story of how I fell in love!

Wow! You actually remembered which was your very first episode.

I can only recall watching Saiyuki Reload, which got me hooked. I then spent my time searching the whole island for the complete series. (....actually I called the video shops around the island)

Yes, hugs sensei for her amazing talent and awesomeness. ^_^

I know, he only has himself to blame for the way I "make them gay". I call him my enabler for feeding the habit. Like how he bought me all the Wild Adapter AND the Vassalord he could find for Christmas...yeah it's all his fault. =P

Happy New Year!!
