Vol 7 - 10 of Saiyuki Reload by TokyoPop....... where the fuck is my Vol 10?????
I spent 30 minutes hunting high and low looking for the elusive manga. I even called my son who was at a gathering to ask if he took it. I searched for a while more before giving up and continued with my packing.
5 minutes later............ I suddenly remembered that TokyoPop has not even released Vol 10. WTF??!!! WTF??!!! What the hell was I thinking?????
There you go. My bimbo moment of the week....................

1. Anime or Manga?
Anime. Cos I'm a sucker for beautifully drawn and detailed animation and better still, with a kickass OP and ED theme. And I relate better to the character when they put a voice to the face. You have no idea how much I fell in love with Sanzo's as well as Lelouch Lamperouge's voice...... Makes my knees go weakkkkkk......
2. What's your favourite scene from Saiyuki?
The Rikudo one. I'm a sucker for angst. Sanzo getting critically injured, Goku going berserk, Kanzeon frenching Sanzo against his will (woohoo!!) - dun you just love the gut wrenching feeling over such scenes??? I do! LOL!!!
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, money not an issue, where would it be and why?
In a nice house/cottage on the outskirts of Tuscany?? Not because of it's rich artistic and architectural culture - I have no grand allusions of having any knowledge nor any appreciation of such - I am such a boor, aren't I?? *grins*
It seems like a beautiful enough place, the pace of life seems relaxed enough where I can laze around idly with my husband doing nothing. That and with my Internet access, I'm in paradise! (Whether I've got the correct perception or not, I dunno. Blame it on the movies. Ha Ha Ha)
4. What's your favourite piece of clothing?
Singlet and cotton boxers. You will see me in this ensemble 365 days a year whenever I'm at home. Comfort is everything.
5. What song do you most associate with your OTP?
I'm a 100% Sanzo whore. So I dun really have a Saiyuki OTP cos I absolutely adore Sanzo with either Goku, Hakkai or Gojyo. Hence my fave song whenever I think of any one pairing is Daughtry's What About Now. Why?? Cos the song is angsty enough (Did I mention that I'm a sucker for angst??) and fits in nicely with any one pairing. LOL!!!!!

When you listen to the Saiyuki Vocal Albums, have you ever imagined how the boys would look like when they sing?
I'm always in stitches each time I try to picture Sanzo in a MV gyrating away, though I think I have no problem visualising Gojyo, Hakkai or Goku.

Gensomaden Saiyuki

Thinking back, I fell in love with the series despite the poorly drawn characters. I guess this is testimony of how good the story is.
Alrighty.... back to my Genso-marathon. I still have 39 episodes to go. ;)

Color Bars
Aug. 14th, 2009 02:06 pmI'm trying my hands on making anime color bars (Saiyuki mostly) so that I can have them plastered all over my profile.
So far, so good. I hope to have them up by this weekend.
Note to self : No one wants to know that...... I know, really. (But I was also really bored)
