I think I must have unknowingly offended one of the moderators of springkink  cos my request to join the community was ignored.............twice......since 15 Dec 09.

That seems really over-the-top. Something is definitely weird. What could you have possibly done to offend them? This doesn't sound real at all. I'm sure there is another (impersonal) reason.

Hmm... maybe they're too busy? Or LJ screwed up? I have no idea. I did think of writing to enquire but cannot seem to find the way of doing so.

I would think if they'd really rejected me, the least they could do is tell me outright. Just say - suanz, piss off!!!! Ha Ha Ha

Anyway I cannot bring myself to click on "Join the community" link for a 3rd time. Don't wanna seem desperate much.

Anyway, just random grousing, I guess.

No, don't click on that again. They've probably been very busy, or it was sorted into the wrong to-do list ... something mundane like that. They would have no personal reason to reject you, right?

One of the moderators is emerald_embers. Why don't you send her a personal message, explain that your application was held back twice, you want to be a member, and ask if there is a reason why you keep getting turned down?

Honestly, what a pain in the butt this has turned out to be. Just because you want to read someone's fic.

Maybe I should just take that rec off the list. If it's going to be this tricky for people to read stories that are posted in comms, what's the point?

I was really excited when nitro_recs was launched cos I was having trouble finding good Saiyuki fics. I was practically having withdrawal symptoms. Ha Ha Ha

It's precisely that some fics are locked that we do not know they exists. It's thru such recommendations that we are aware, and can at least make an attempt to gain access & read them.

As you posted in one of your replies in nitro_recs, it's up to each individual if they wanna make the effort to read the fic, which I think is pretty fair.

Tricky?? Well, life is never perfect, no? Maybe then we'd appreciate the fic even more? :)

Probably it will arrive like an anti-climax and you might even think, "For this, I went through all that?"

All that aside, once you become a member--and I'm sure it's just a matter of time before you do--if you go through the memories section at Springkink, you will find 2-3 dozen Saiyuki fics, mostly pretty good.
